#11231 SCM Request Toddler didn't set package owner
Closed: Fixed with Explanation a year ago by gotmax23. Opened a year ago by gotmax23.

  • Describe the issue

I recently requested a new repository for golang-github-d2g-hardwareaddr (https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/50559). The releng-bot failed to create the repository and kept @releng-bot as the main admin. Please set @gotmax23 as the main admin and remove @releng-bot from the repository. Not sure what we can do to prevent this type of issue in the future (CC @zlopez).

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?

I won't be able to branch the package for f37. I won't be able to fix golang-github-d2g-dhcp4server's FTBFS and it'll be automatically retired.

@gotmax23 We discussed this today with @humaton and probably the best way to prevent this is to check the availability of the dist-git and PDC before even starting to work on the ticket. I already created ticket for it in toddlers tracker.

That sounds like a good idea. In the meantime, what can be done to fix this and https://pagure.io/releng/issue/11228?

@gotmax23 personally I'm OK if releng deletes all the incorrectly created artifacts and we have to submit a new request, if that's faster than creating and fixing all the missing pieces.

I have set the correct ACLs on both repos.

I was able to branch and build the package for f37. Thanks!
