#11228 New package rust-portable-atomic cannot be built in side tags
Closed: Fixed with Explanation a year ago by salimma. Opened a year ago by salimma.

  • Describe the issue
I have a new package rust-portable-atomic that for some reason can't be built in side tags (haven't tried building in Rawhide proper, as I already built some dependencies like rust-sptr in a side tag).

rust-sptr repo was created around the same time, but that package built fine.

Failed builds:
In f38-build-side-62106 that predates rust-portable-atomic being branched:

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=96434013 (in a newly created sidetag f38-build-side-62114)

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
Blocking the fix for an FTI package (rust-below) as this is in the dependency chain

and ha, the ACL for the package says it's owned by.. releng-bot https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/rust-portable-atomic

Fixed the ACLs, and did scratch build in f38. Not sure about the side-tag fail.

The side tag fail is likely due to the same issue, it's now fixed. Thanks!
