Hi @williamjmorenor, the task seems pretty straightforward, but do you know which pen model you'd like to have it on? Have you seen the existing Fedora pen?

I like the first one with the fedora logo, I would only like the complete logo with the bubble

Hey @geraldoweb, thanks for creating the mockups! You seem to have some broken file with the Fedora logo. The word seems off, and the logo mark I don't even know - what happened there? =)

@geraldoweb, I'd suggest using the vector format for print, especially on swag. In order to obtain properly-licensed copies of these Fedora logos, you must send a request to the logo queue at logo@fedoraproject.org. Please include a brief description of the way(s) you plan on using the logo.

Hey, so if you'd like to move this ticket forward - you really need to find / select and get a price quote for the pen design you'd like... based on the specifications of the vendor, we can then send you a print-ready version of the fedora logo that is sized and positioned correctly for imprint on the pen.

@williamjmorenor here's some options! i recommend B :) (Note there's antialiasing in the previews - that's from the preview software Staples uses, it won't be in the final product.)

@duffy in your experience can Staples direct ship internationally?

The few Fedra pens I have seen are like the option A and the cost of this
model is cheaper that the option B (there is the shiping at taxes cost to
get them at latam to consider) so I think we can go with the option A
(something like the classical Fedora pen).

@williamjmorenor eek I screwed up the numbers - just fixed them - it was a copy paste error. A, B, and D are the same cost, only C has that cheaper price.

The main reason for the cost difference is that A, B, and D use the full color logo and C is only a one-color logo. A, B, and D could be cheaper if they just had the one-color wordmark.

@bex i could have sworn I answered this this morning but the comment seems to be gone from Pagure. Staples does ship internationally with the exception of certain products that aren't allowed via air (eg hand sanitizer, lighters, etc.) or have import restrictions in other countries. They also have various regional affiliates so there's a possibility to produce in a specific geo and not limited to US production. Mitchell Smith is our rep at Staples and can provide a lot more info on this and I can send you his contact info if needed.

I would recommend https://www.thepenguy.com/clic/stic.htm That's what North America Ambassadors have used for many years. They can re-order the Fedora pens without needing new art or anything. Looks like they start at $0.51 each and get cheaper if you order more than 500.

@nb option C is $0.46/each for an order of 300, A B & D are $0.50 for orders of 300. At the 500 quantity, C is $0.39 and A B & D are $0.49. All prices with design imprints included.

Just to make clear the comparison on the same scale!

this came up in triage. we're waiting on the choice of product / vendor, and we can then produce artwork to the vendor's spec. let us know. thanks.

@williamjmorenor Can you let us know which pen we want to move forward with. It seems we will be printing and shipping via Staples. @duffy thank you for your work. @nb thank you for your suggestion. If NA is going to order pens again, lets do it with this order and save even more $$.

The model "A" from Staples if fine for us, we can go ahead with this pen
and I hope all people in Latam will be happy with this simple and clean pen.

Some specs to note while ordering on that page:

• Barrel color: White
• Trim color: Metallic Dark Blue

@bex, that's right - they've created an unacceptable version of the Fedora logo. All the possible versions you can see here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Logo/UsageGuidelines
If it needs to be printed in one color, just go for the word fedora without the logomark.

@mleonova @duffy @williamjmorenor The artwork provided by @duffy above sounds like it was one-color. Staples is saying what I sent them was one-color. Can I get multi-color art with PMS colors or an alternative that meets our guidelines and is one color?

The eps from @duffy is perfectly fine. Pantone colors, as always: Fedora Blue 2935 , Fedora Dark Blue 541
