#8921 Use annocheck when reviewing Bodhi updates
Closed: Invalid 4 years ago by ignatenkobrain. Opened 4 years ago by nickc.

  • Describe the issue
This is a request to use the annocheck program from the annobin package to produce an analysis of the security hardening of a compiled package and to make it available to reviewers during the Bodhi update process.

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)
Time is not critical. Whenever resources are available to implement.

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)
Once annocheck is part of the Fedora build process, there should be no need to have it be part of the Bodhi review process. This does assume that annocheck will become part of the build process. That is by no means certain.

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
Minor - the security hardening information will still be recorded by the annobin plugin for gcc, it just will not be used.

You need to open RFE for pagure.io/fedora-ci/general rather than here.
