uses cmake, and a few deps that we don't yet have in Fedora
A caveat for this package is that its only release was 0.0.1 in May 2020, and there has been no development since then. I wonder if it has a future or not.
Yeh, oddly enough the paper was only published in 2024..
I noticed that. Two years of coding and four years of trying to get the paper published, I suppose?
Yeh, that's a very long time. Maybe we leave it as low priority for the moment and if we see activity in the next few months, we'll consider packaging it up. Too bad though, it would've been a useful tool..
In related news: as part of my $dayjob, we've got a GSoC intern working on a converter from SWC to NeuroML this round. We'll try and make it all general enough so that others can plug into it and create their own tools etc.
