Looks like pure python, should be simple enough to package.
The project name tracer conflicts with an existing package on PyPI, which runs afoul of the (rather strict) new PyPI parity rules.

Perhaps upstream can be convinced to rename it, and ideally to publish to PyPI? It seems like that ought to be helpful to upstream’s users on other operating systems, too.
