With the transition to Discourse (https://ask.fedoraproject.org) all old Ask Fedora links are now dead:
https://ask.fedoraproject.org/en/question/135526/sticky-is-it-time-for-a-modernization-of-fedoras-ask-forum/
Please consider modifying the 404 error page to redirect or say something like:
We now use Discourse (announcement, link, ...), consider checking this archived version of the content that was previously here: https://askbot.fedoraproject.org/en/question/135526/sticky-is-it-time-for-a-modernization-of-fedoras-ask-forum/
When the link follows certain pattern.
We don't run this service and do not know how long the other archived version will be around. @mattdm @bex @ankursinha where do we file tickets for feature requests for the new ask?
We don't run/host the new one either. So, any tweaks that are possible on the instance, we've asked people to open topics in the "site feedback" category here:
https://ask.fedoraproject.org/c/site-feedback
That way people don't end up troubling infra here, who then have to ping us etc.
I'll have a look to see if the 404 page can be edited.
Tracking this here now: https://ask.fedoraproject.org/t/updating-the-404-template-to-mention-the-move-to-discourse/407
Thanks.
