#766 Fedora Alternate Architectures page missing AArch64 and Power Atomic host images
Closed: Invalid 6 years ago Opened 6 years ago by pwhalen.

There is an ongoing idea for including Atomic Host ISOs and cloudImages links for aarch64 and ppc64le at official Atomic download page - https://getfedora.org/en/atomic/download/ .

Sorry, please get in contact with Cloud WG first to know about atomic images. Are these 2 week releases too? Will they be added to the Atomic release procedure? Is there any plan about how they should be handled for prerelease?
@sinnykumari I would be opposed to add any alternate image to the main getfedora.org website. This is another target.

I am part of Atomic WG and been involved in enabling Atomic Host on aarch64 and ppc64le in Fedora 27.
Yes, ppc64le and aarch64 arches will also receive 2 week release updates which has been mentioned in Fedora 27 Atomic Host release announcement

I am not sure what do you mean here by handling prerelease. We are having Atomic ISOs and cloudImages getting built in koji daily for F27 and rawhide for aarch64 and ppc64le as well. @dustymabe may have more information here.

Is there any specific reason? Personally, I feel that publishing content for all arches at one place gives sense of more uniformity about architectures we care about :)

Interesting, why did nobody come to us to tell us about that? You can't expect we follow all news to know what happens with an alternate arch.

Koji is fine for you, but we need other links. You probably know Koji builds disappear after some days, right?

Yes there is!!!
We have getfedora.org.org as brochure site for Fedora editions. Alternate arches are not part of this, so this is definitely a no go.
Your personal preference would mean going back to fedoraproject.org. and listing there tons of images. That's not really user friendly IMHO.

Hi! @robyduck :) - We didn't come to you yet because we are not ready yet. I don't have any expectation that you would have known this and automatically added it to the website.

There is some work we have to do on our end to enable this before we can add the images to the website. My discussions with @sinnykumari in the past have mainly been to try to line her up to do the work to add the content to the website once we have done the work on our end to enable this to happen.

Thanks @dustymabe, that sounds different now.

Thanks @dustymabe, that sounds different now.

 will re-engage with you once we are ready. Sorry for the confusion.

Glad to see that this is clear now. Sorry if confusion was created due to me. I replied as per my understanding and available knowledge.

Also, thanks @dustymabe for sorting this out.

Thanks for updates. Apologies for the noise folks, closing this now.
