#471 Review local community links on fedoracommunity.org
Closed: Fixed None Opened 9 years ago by robyduck.

We should check all links of the local communities listed on http://fedoracommunity.org. We have precise guidelines to list a community site or not, so please don't replace links simply with new ones, but drop them.

If local communities wants to be listed, they need to open a new ticket and meet all requirements.

A bunch of links are broken (site no longer active/404/blank page). Do you want them dropped?

If the sites are not longer active or have really the wrong link or wrong redirect (xx.fedoracommunity.org) we need to drop them IMHO, it's not good to promote community links which doesn't exist anymore.

In case of broken redirects we should list them to have them removed also on infra-side.

Links not working: [[BR]]

Total communities shown = 32 Not working = 15 Up to date = ?

Up to 47% are inactive/not reachable; Removing them seems Project hasn't communities.[[BR]]

So solution is one of theese:

1) remove broken links;
2) contact maintainer or someone of the countries in order to figure out what the community is doing;
3) redirect broken links to fp.o translated in their language (if present) or fp.o

Any suggestions?

Hi aeperezt. The fedora-pa.org website has an invalid SSL certificate, and also redirects me to a domain parking website. Are you guys in the process of building it, or is it a mature community that is having problems? Additionally, are you the owner of the community?

EDIT: I took out the https and the site worked fine :) Sorry for the trouble, the SSL version of the website sent me to domain parking websites.

I've moved the proyectofedora domain to a new server.

Ok, for now, I've redirected all the proyectofedora* sites to fedoraproject.org/es while we reached to a consensus for build the new regional contents. So, this has been fixed for now.

Thanks.
