(from Marco Scannadinari)
"The current seperator at the bottom of www.fedoraproject.com - seperating the website footer and the body - is a small blue image of thick diagonal stripes that is repeated over the x axis quite a lot.
"Just a thought.. But I made the seperator with the new background in the GIMP for a(n) comparison/example (with some additional shadowing stuff), here - http://i49.tinypic.com/iekmyd.png, with the .xcf here - http://www.filedropper.com/border"
Can we swap out the current separator for Marco's?

(Also make sure you credit Marco in the git log when you check in the artwork!)
wow, this is really nice :) We should probably update this at every release..
Just push in the staging branch at rev feb2f88. You can see at https://stg.fedoraproject.org/ (on next build, in about 30 minutes).
On staging because: we are going to merge this branch soon in master, and because I would like to know if we don't want to use the same footer in every websites?
For example, spins don't have a footer separator, and fedoracommunity still have the old one which is correct with regard to the map background.
hum, I think it's all good if we keep it that way with only the change in fpo. Please let me know your thoughts.
gimp source border.xcf
tarball of both png and xcfs border.tgz
Ah - Thank you for the kind words! I was going to ask you if you could edit the css so that this - http://i3.minus.com/ibzOLyPbp89owZ.png - wouldn't happen, but it seems that you'vs already sorted that out!
I have attatched the source xcf and a tarball of both images anyway.
PS Seeing as the new border will have shadowing, should the slideshow at the top also have some shadowing also? Just a thought ;)
thank you for the sources. It probably should have shadow. But we have a special news bar here when there is a new Fedora release. Which would then need shadow.. Will think about this next time. Thanks,
(if you think it would be really better, you can of course open a new ticket and attach a new picture).
