#37 flocktofedora.org needs to go back to the old version
Closed: Won't fix / Can't fix 7 years ago Opened 7 years ago by jflory7.

Problem

A special version of flocktofedora.org was created and pushed for helpful information during the event. The old version of the site with general conference info should be put back up.

Analysis

I know the "day of" version of the site was something @ryanlerch helped hack on. I'm not sure how the Fedora Websites setup all works, but hopefully there is an easy way to revert back to the pre- and post-Flock version of the website?

Implementation

  1. Create backup / branch for the during Flock event site
  2. Revert published branch to the pre-Flock site
  3. Push to production???

I assume this is something a more veteran Websites team member could advise on. :)

@jflory7 is this still relevant ? I see that a new branch for flock2017 is ongoing.

@iplaman I guess not, since we're now looking at getting ready for Flock 2017. Probably okay to close this.

Ok closing this. We will merge the new branch to master once it is ready, normally we don't revert commits to get back to another version/release.

However, we could think about retiring the flocktofedora.org site or showing something else once FLOCK is over, just to not point people to links which have become useless.
