#287 Change quote from Jason Brooks on the front page of www.fp.o to something else
Closed: Fixed None Opened 12 years ago by rbergero.

We have the following quote from Jason Brooks of eweek.com on the front page:

"Since its first version, in 2003, Red Hat's Fedora Linux has been the best place to track what's on the leading edge of Linux and open source software."
— Jason Brooks, eweek.com

I'm happy to dig up a new quote from somewhere to give to swap it out with, just curious if there are any guidelines, preferences, etc.

Also:
(the duhhhhhhh part)

It needs to be changed because Jason Brooks now works for Red Hat and just want to avoid any appearances of weirdness :)

I don't think we have any guidelines. We should only need the quoted author approval (IMHO, really, i don't know).

We could also randomize them if we have several ones, in order to avoid reading the same each time.

Its been removed. It will show up on the f17 alpha site. You can see what that will look like at http://stg.fedoraproject.org

@shaiton - We should have a random list of quotes that we pull from. I'm honestly not sure how/where to get a list of quotes from. I suppose Marketing may know?
