#237 Links in translated start page directing to wiki, should get into translated pages.
Closed: Invalid None Opened 13 years ago by tezcatl.

For example at http://fedoraproject.org/es/join-fedora link to:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Join#Content_Writer

should redirect to https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Join/es#Content_Writer

to making sense for people wanting to continue reading at their languages.

This could encourage some other teams to engage more actively in the translations of the wiki.

Hi,

I have tried reproducing the setup you proposed above here and it didn't work as expected.

Everything seems to work correctly only if the selected website's lang is available as a translation of the Join#Content_Writer page. So let's say I am using the 'de' lang on the website and I try to browse the 'de' wiki page (which is missing as a translation), I will get a 404 on the wiki.

This is actually a 'cantfix' for now since we would require a wiki plugin for redirecting users to the main english page if their page is not showing correctly. Not really a website issue anyway.

You had a really nice idea, unfortunately the Join wiki page has been translated into 6 languages only while we have way more translations on the website.

Andrea
