#7687 koschei: dynamically track @stewardship-sig group packages
Closed: Fixed 5 years ago by mizdebsk. Opened 5 years ago by decathorpe.

Describe what you would like us to do:

Mikolaj (mizdebsk) pointed out to me that it's possible to track all packages maintained by a group in koschei automatically.

It would be really nice if that could be set up for the stewardship-sig dist-git/FAS group. Since I expect that the set up packages that are part of the group will change semi-frequently, dynamic tracking would probably fit best.

When do you need this to be done by? (YYYY/MM/DD)

No hurry. I already added all our pacakges to koschei, but this would make it easier in the future.

Implemented in c00b7bc.

I've createted a new stewardship-sig package group in Koschei. This group will be periodically updated with list of packages maintained by stewardship-sig - packages will be added or removed as appropriate. All packages in the group will be marked as tracked.

In the future, is this something infrastructure people should/can do or is this something that should have been directed to a different tracker?

@smooge Yes, this ticket contains request that is very specific to Fedora infrastructure.

Implementing this request involved two parts:

  1. Creating a group in Koschei. This is a standard procedure described in Koschei SOP.

  2. Configuring group to be dynamically populated. This is not a feature of (upstream) Koschei, but something that is specific to Fedora infrastructure. This is configured in ansible.git, in a commit I referenced above.
