#6513 Bugzilla watch information lost when moved from pkgdb
Closed: Fixed 6 years ago Opened 6 years ago by hadess.

I stopped being the maintainer of the control-center and gnome-settings-daemon upstream and of the packages in around May. I removed myself from following those packages in pkgdb. However, when the new infrastructure was launched, all the packages that I could commit (including the ones handled by the "gnome-sig" group)to were reset to "watch bugzilla". That's around 280 packages in total

This also includes packages that have been retired, like synaptics package, which is apparently not closed for bug filing in bugzilla (which might be another problem? I'm not certain).

So looking at control-center and gnome-settings-daemon, they both include gnome-sig in the watchers list:
- https://src.fedoraproject.org/api/0/rpms/gnome-settings-daemon/watchers

so I suspect this is how you end up on the CC list.

I think the main issue is that gnome-sig got watchissue while it wasn't before.
We'd need to script this to fix it.

So turns out the groups are always put on CC by pagure, so we will adjust the sync script instead.

I think with @ralph 's rewrite of the bugzilla sync script this has now finally been fixed.

I checked the 3 packages listed here and they now all look right to me.

@hadess can you check and confirm it's solved? I will close this, but if there is anything not right here, please do reopen it and we can dig more.

Sorry again for this...
