Hm, there seems to be a small problem with the git repository:

[pknirsch@hamburg CVS]$ git clone ssh://git.fedoraproject.org/git/filesystem.git
Initialized empty Git repository in /home/devel/pknirsch/CVS/filesystem/.git/
fatal: no matching remote head
fetch-pack from 'ssh://git.fedoraproject.org/git/filesystem.git' failed.

I'm not sure, but could it be that the directory still needs a

git-init

Would be great if you could take a look at that.

The repository has been initialized, but is empty. You'll need to push some data there before it's clonable. See the last entry in the Fedora Hosted FAQ:
