#3531 Google Auth and Google OpenID Auth not working.
Closed: Fixed None Opened 11 years ago by thunderbirdtr.

= bug description =

Google Auth and Google OpenID Auth not working. When I click the "google" for login to ask.fedora website I always see "register" page. Google auth is not working. and When I also tried with my "google" OpenID same result happened.

When I also see register page I entered my info and I saw ;

this email is already used by someone else, please choose another

sorry, this name is taken, please choose another

They are usual results because I already registered when ask.fedora opened a long ago.

= fix recommendation =

(just my guess)

I don't know how much is true but . As we all know google changed to our profile also our OpenID. Maybe your auth API or I don't know system what using.but I think something on API or somekind of google auth add-on must changed with new one.

Thank you

Is this still happening?

Still not working. (sorry for late answer )

Can you try again now with your gmail.com address? I tried changing something else on your account...

No still showing me "Registration" Page " You are here for the first time with your Googleâ„¢ login. Please create your screen name and save your email address" and so on as you know..

Google Auth still not working.

Can you try again today?

Also, can you try with your fedora openid? (which would be: click on the openid icon, then enter: "thunderbirdtr.id.fedoraproject.org" )

Any news here? Still happening? Happening with openid? with google?

for a while i was not using my account. after many attempt i managed to find my fedora account. after that 'ask fedora' asking me to put a screen name and email. i entered and they say name and email already used by someone. can anyone help me.
