#228 Deprecate Fedora Diversity Telegram Group
Closed: not possible 2 years ago by riecatnor. Opened 2 years ago by sumantrom.

This is to bring into notice the Fedora Diversity Telegram Channel is no longer going to be an official medium of communication. This ticket is put in place to discuss more by our community members and users.

I am +0.

For me, I am struggling to adopt Element/Matrix into my workflow. I have permissions split across three accounts and frequently sign in and out of different Element accounts. I have tried using IRC and my own ZNC bouncer, but HexChat doesn't work correctly on HiDPI displays. The Telegram interface is most convenient for me, but I acknowledge the state of the bridges is sub-par. Dropping Telegram will likely make me less active but I don't want to block this retirement.

I guess there is not a way to get support on this by the Element folks who we already pay for the Fedora homeserver. My understanding at the time was that Element was going to help us with these bridges when we initiated the Fedora Matrix homeserver.

Well, I am fine with depracating the Telegram Group. Anyhow, we need more feedback or kind of survey about the needs and the future of our communication platform.
From my understanding we're going to use Element/Matrix more?
