In other diversity-inclined projects and communities I participate in, I have noticed a trend to identify the kind of work we have done here for nearly six years already as "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion" work, or DEI.
I propose we re-brand the team again from "Fedora Diversity & Inclusion Team" to "Fedora Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Team".
This is not that new for us either. In 2015, we were founded as the Fedora Diversity Team. In 2016/2017, before we had a strong web presence, we quickly re-branded as "D&I" because of changing industry norms in 2016/2017, and because we acknowledged four years ago that diversity work and inclusion work have a lot in common, but are notably distinct from the other.
Updating our name again will require updates to documentation across the project. URL schemas may be preserved in the interest of avoiding broken links, but printed content on the docs pages should reflect the updated team name.
@jflory7
that's a good idea and we will discuss it today in our meeting ;)

To summarize today's discussion, we were on-board to make the team name change. There are some messaging activities needed to make this happen:

I thought of additional aspect to consider, we should probably get a revised logo with the new name/new logo as well as update any relevant design assets that we want to use moving forward.
Nice to see this welcoming change.
