One comment: could you remove the duplicated header image in the article? It's best practice to add it only as a featured image and not to embed it again at the top of the article. It will appear twice for someone reading.

I requested a new plugin to be installed in fedora-infrastructure#7254 that will show the featured image in RSS feeds (e.g. Fedora Planet).

@bcotton while you're editing the guidelines, can you consider lifting some of the editor guidance and duplicating or moving it to the writer guidelines. Having drafts show up more complete (tags, categories, etc.) would be helpful in speeding up editing.
