#9 Create an example for a manual test
Closed 3 years ago by psss. Opened 5 years ago by mvadkert.

A manual test is a test where the user needs to provide manually the test result.

In case of erratum this could be:

  1. all bugzillas are verified or good to go
  2. all manual tests have passed (list of manual tests comes from configuration)
  3. all rpmdiff waivers have been approved
  4. all covscan failures have been reviewed

Is this supposed to be an example for CI metadata or test metadata?

I believe CI metadata for the start is enough, test metadata can be added later. Note that currently we are already adding such thing for manual gating.

the idea is that this test case has some flag or something, that it is manual. Maybe it woul dbe nice to see explicitely. People coudl then extend their WF with manual tests

You mention test case flag: Did you mean test set? How is automation supposed to handle test set with manual flag? Just ignore?
