#36 Hardware requirements for Fedora26 are not realistic
Closed: Fixed 2 years ago by bcotton. Opened 6 years ago by augenauf.

Hardware requirements provided in https://docs.fedoraproject.org/f26/release-notes/welcome/Hardware_Overview.html are not realistic for a pleasant experience with Fedora Workstation.

I see how they would suffice a base system w/o DE, but nothing more than that.

Here is a link to an old mailing list post about this topic: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/docs@lists.fedoraproject.org/message/3JXWUZQ5JVGECQ2LBRUC5IU5KDMW3FIB/

2 Questions:

How can I preview my edits? I'd like to see what I produced before I submit the changes. What software do you recommend to render .adocs locally? (pagure doesn't seem to offer that If possible, I'd like to avoid installing texlive or atom.

Should I generally commit against the master branch?

We use asciibinder to build the site. Another option would be to run the specific file through asciidoctor, however you won't get the theming.

This branch is for Rawhide and is used to prepare for the next release. If you would like, please also commit against hte specific branches for the releases.

Current hardware requirements in the docs are higher than what was in this report. Closing the issue.
