Hey guys, we are trying to put together a little effort to promote .NET Core on Fedora with stickers, T-Shirts and other cool stuff, with the upcoming release of netcore2.0
Deadline Deadline for design to be sent to printer Deadline for items to be shipped and ready to hand out
None (but ideally before the 8th of August - so about a week for design, a week for print)
If you can, please provide us with example photos of items that are similar to the result you're looking for
You can take a look at this screenshot, but please contact me via email (radka.janek . redhat @ com) and I will provide the original of our redhatloves.net design where the idea is to change red heart into blue heart, and replace the label to be Fedora loves .NET instead of Red Hat... plus of course the logo.
radka.janek . redhat @ com

I do not know what is the usual one used in Brno - so that one here, plus whatever is used in NA for ambassadors (especially stickers, T-Shirts can be shipped from our Brno office as they are a bit more of a rare thing for contributors and presenters only.)
Is this for an event? Location, date, and website/wiki page for the event Is this in a language other than English?
Nope.
Size requirements, can be standard paper size or width and height
Errr... source vector, and a .png of 2000x2000 would be good for everything I suppose (?)
For apparel or products Apparel or product type
T-Shirts & stickers
Number of colors to use
Two - white labels and the Fedora-blue heart and logo stuffs...
Background color of the object

Hi Radka,
Let me know if you approve of this mockup and I can prep for print:
<img alt="533_fedora_loves_dot_net_shirt.01.png" src="/design/issue/raw/files/5b1d7f7130ae9e88293090f0c6105ce77acd3b1f40de979424e3c3a2bf329ebb-533_fedora_loves_dot_net_shirt.01.png" />
Note that the font on the back of the Red Hat version of the T-shirt is problematic and probably wouldn't pass brand approval.

@duffy font is totally okay, it wouldn't be our Fedora otherwise =) It looks awesome!
On the topic of stickers - I still haven't even seen the Red Hat ones, so I'm not entirely sure what would it look like. Can we keep this ticket open and I'll get back to you about that in a bit?
@rhea cool i'll prep for print then. the incorrect font i was talking about is on the RHT version, should be interstate; looks like one of the MS freebie fonts though. :-/ but that's brand's call not mine.
keeping this open for stickers is fine, just keep me posted.

@rhea let me know about the stickers!
Hi @duffy,
so the design is quite nice on stickers as well (or at least the redhat version..)
So I think that we can go with the same thing Fedora ones as well.

Hi @rhea! It looks like this ticket is done now so I'm going to close it out. Please feel free to reopen if needed.

@duffy I do have one more question actually. The RH stickers are without the RH logo underneath, can we cut that off of this Fedora design, or does it have to be with the Fedora logo label for some legal/trademark reasons?
@rhea no you can remove the Fedora logo label if you'd like. It's just to help link the brands together more, but it's completely optional.
Okay thank you. The label stays for T-Shirts, but it's not necessary on the stickers :]
@rhea +1 sounds good!
Here's the sticker and scribus source. This uses the 2" x 1.73" hex template from Sticker Mule, in CMYK.

Hi, could we please have it the same as the Red Hat ones[1]? I don't understand the change from the tshirt design, into this. Is there some reason why they can't be the same as the RH design?
(Note that this has plenty of time and is not for devconf/fosdem - had the above printed for these conferences due to the lack of time.)

the only.issue i can see is somehow the lines on the heart lost their clipping mask which is a minor and easily fixed issue is that what you meant?
And the small fedora label is not supposed to be there.
The sticker's hexagonal shape is 90 degrees rotated (flat top/bottom) and that makes it not compatible with other hexa stickers (flat left/right).
See https://github.com/terinjokes/StickerConstructorSpec
ok anything else?

Could we re-do the stickermule thing within the next week or two or is this a bad time?
Metadata Update from @rhea: - Issue close_status updated to: Fixed
I need to order these before the end of the next week - before 25th... Hence why asking whether we can do it or if I should find someone else who can do it (or figure it out and do it myself)
@rhea can you please state exactly what you need done?
@mleonova As described in the above comments. The goal is for these stickers to be identical to the red hat version. The last design for stickermule in pdf was 90 degrees rotated wrong, and contained the Fedora label which should not be there. Plus the clipping mask issue with the lines striking through the whole thing.
Fedora

Ok, this can be fixed by your deadline.
@rhea please take a look at this preview - does this fix the issues?

@mleonova looks good, thank you.
@mleonova can you please throw in a pdf or source as well? :]
Of course, I was just working on it. I'll email you the pdf and will attach it here too, as soon as I figure out how to do it.

@mleonova hi, Brian had question about the colour in the sticker, is it the standard Fedora blue?
@rhea yes, it was converted by Scribus to CMYK. Just to be perfectly right, I slightly tweaked the values (+-2% color):
<img alt="fedoralovesdotnet_sticker_diecut_2018.pdf" src="/design/issue/raw/files/b926465fde7c4b0d36e64257ce0d4cc39135dd6390af103f3feab62b7d2be3f8-fedoralovesdotnet_sticker_diecut_2018.pdf" />
Proof received with this note about the size as 1.73" x 2"
Feedback @mleonova ? <img alt="proof.png" src="/design/issue/raw/files/2e9fddf6f2899b697aa7ac3d71ff0b022c88362c62685dfd93381725fc32b10f-proof.png" />
@bex looks just fine.
Thank you. Approving.
