#401 F38: Shorter Shutdown Timer
Opened a year ago by siosm. Modified a year ago

See https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/fedora-release/pull-request/249 if the Cloud SIG wants to undo the Fedora wide change for their edition

For the model that Fedora Cloud handles, we actually might have preferred even shorter timeframes, since it saves money when shutting down instances. Being able to get instances up and down quickly saves a lot of money in the long run.

See https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@lists.fedoraproject.org/message/K7YXBE35NJZIA5TGDC5OPNZHU6SWGE5N/ for the counter point for cloud. With limited IOPS on cloud instances, longer shutdown times will let applications shutdown normally instead of killing them early.
