#325 Please publish Fedora AMI to af-south-1
Opened 3 years ago by mobrien. Modified a year ago

Fedora currently has proxies over a number of regions in AWS, up to now we have been using a marketplace version in this region. I thought it was just a case of doing the following commit to add a new region but I was wrong.

https://pagure.io/fedora-infra/ansible/c/51f6ae2ae77afb3488633ce69d6055c3e64cdf21?branch=main

If someone could point me to the right place that would be great.

Upon further investigation there is an error in fedimg, the same appears to be happening in eu-west-3

Could not register with name: u'Fedora-Cloud-Base-32-20210216.0.x86_64-hvm-af-south-1-gp2-0'

@mobrien - I think that is a brand new region our account hasn't used before. Can you enable the region?

If that's not the problem maybe you can try to manually upload an image to that region (using aws cli) and see if you get a more detailed error message.

Maybe that's not true. FCOS seems to be creating AMIs in that region.

FYI, this is still happening. :)
