Hi, I'm Andi and I would to know if somebody is already working on a translation into German for the handbook? If not, I would be interested to do this.
Regards
Oops, I wanted to reply to this last week and I guess it slipped my mind...
Hi Andi, I'm not aware of any existing effort to translate the handbook into German. @eischmann do you know anything?
Anyway, your contributions would definitely be appreciated. I'd however advise you to wait a little bit - I'm planning to make some more changes to the English original in the near future, both to the structure (so we can publish it on docs.fedoraproject.org as per #10 ) and to the actual text, so it's better to wait till after we're finished updating the original. I'll make sure to let you know when it's ready to be translated.
No one is working on the German edition. I recommend you wait for the 2018 release which should be really soon and then you can translate the 2018 branch. A German version would be very much welcome since it's one of the biggest languages in Europe.
Hi @eischmann - ah that's good to know. The handbook isn't published yet? It would be a great benefit for the german community that a german version will be exist soon.
Hi, I just released the 2018 version. You can start translating it. And please keep translations in that branch. master is a subject of change and shouldn't be translated.
