@bex I have told you and the rest of the team that Fedora Lima is keep working and @solanch69 and @zodiacfireworks are waiting for the swags for this weekend. We did many tickets for the Fedora Lima Release Party 2018 and the "fixing" that @asoliard is just for mention the events. I am going to be longer in the USA, please "Fedora team" you have to help newcomers! I asked you to support @zodiacfireworks and @solanch69. * Again, my local team did the Flisol in UPN and with no Fedora swag, please do not let them celebrate the Fedora Lima Party 2018 with NO SWAGS. This is a ticket for the Fedora Lima Party 2018 which also has ticket and wiki.

I've tagged this issue as "fix" because you need to fix this.
I am going to be longer in the USA, please "Fedora team" you have to help newcomers!
You've to help they to join the community, our community, not yours, we're telling you that for a long time.
I asked you to support @zodiacfireworks and @solanch69.
I personally know @zodiacfireworks, and he appears some times at the meetings, but we don't know @solanch69, and you are asking for SWAG for they, instead of show they how to be independent. That's a big mistake, It looks like you're working for your own win.
Again, my local team did the Flisol in UPN and with no Fedora swag, please do not let them celebrate the Fedora Lima Party 2018 with NO SWAGS. This is a ticket for the Fedora Lima Party 2018 which also has ticket and wiki.
We don't work with "local teams", we work with the community, I'll never recognize your team, they should be part of the LATAM Community. Also, please, recheck the link I posted before (event organization guideline), if you follow that guideline, and if people accept that you're working with people we don't know, this issue will be approved.
I'm sorry for all of that, but we worked in that last year, to improve our work, and we're following that guideline since last September.
I recommend you to talk to your team, and invite they to join our COMMUNITY.
Regards!
If you (all) need help, please, ask via e-mail or IRC, we always are trying to help newcomers
@solanch69 and @zodiacfireworks it’d be great to hear from you. What are you planning?
Hi to everyone,
@bex, thanks for request our opinion about this theme.
Personally I am not a fan of bureaucratic processes and therefore I try to stay out of coordination of this type and I focus more on the coordination of the event. But I know protocols are the protocols, so I ask @yulytas to take care of the coordination with this type while I, @solanch69 and other volunteers take care of the local logistics of the event. However I see some reluctance to approve the tickets presented by @yulytas.
Meanwhile, here in Lima, we are working to be able to gather more people in the use and contribution of fedora. Those of us who are now working on the organization of the event are @solanch69 who is in charge of organizing the group of volunteers and I am contributing with the money necessary for the realization of the event.
The swag requested in this ticket is for events we are planning for this year, the first of which is the Fedora Lima Party 2018 (#455).
Hello everyone, :) As they say, I'm new to this, and those who are helping me @yulytas and @zodiacfireworks regarding the "Fedora Lima Party" event. Everything is ready for the event, I was just waiting for the swag! Since the rest is ready. I do not know what else they want or what would be missing?
Hello, I'm not going to comment the past. This ticket has the following problems:
If this is not fixed, the ticket won't be approved.
This is no sense and I think the responsability of people who vote must be taken so serious. @bex @zodiacfireworks @solanch69 @itamarjp and @x3mboy this ticket was created based on a ticket recently approved for Chile: https://pagure.io/ambassadors-latam/tasks/issue/454 What is the real reason for approving immediately tickets for other ambassadors? My tickets usually need to be "fixed". I do not think that the real reason is that I am not following your rules, I think this is a nonsense excuse to not support our job as fedora ambassadors in Lima, Peru? This is another ticket that prove a copy -paste previously approved by all of you "Fedora Latam", please be smarter and nice to grow up all together as a community and inclusive with newcomers. Thanks, Julita.
Hi, @x3mboy
@yulytas is the ambassador we know in Lima and with whom we have been working, unfortunately she is now in the United States for work reasons. Do you want the swags sent to her in the United States and then send the swags to Peru? Or that some other ambassador to the interior of Peru receives the swag and then sends it to Lima? What do you propose? The event is this weekend.
As an additional note, some time ago (a year or two) I asked if mentors were available but there were none. I do not know if there will be mentors available now, but what I do know is that even without a mentor we are trying to do things for the community and acts like these, denying tickets based on excuses, delay us and make us lose the will to continue working like we have been doing as fedora users.
What is the key difference between the ticket #454 and this?
I change my vote to +1
Please send the swags to the fedora lima team!
Best!

Ok, I'd like to know if all of you are interested to be an active part of the community? and with an active part, I refer to be official ambassadors and not the group behind @yulytas, I'm willing to change my vote to +1 if there is a commitment in that.

When you requested it, Latam didn't have mentors, now @alexove is one of them, and he is from Perú, Did you contacted him for starting the process? I have seen you many times involved in events, and that's the main reason to be an Ambassador, @alexove May you start the process with him? of course if he is willing to do it
The difference is, the recipient of the SWAG is not an Ambassador, and nobody knows her.
My vote to +1
@davisclick are you currently ambassador or contributor?
Thanks, all clear, is intended that only ambassadors can vote.
@echevemaster ambassador!
Best
I introduced @solanch69, as well as other of my students who helped me for several years, to the online Peruvian meeting and @alexove and other peruvian guys were rude at saying that they do not have voice nor vote in the meetings. The image of him as a mentor was damage by himself, so they did not consider him as a mentor nor as a Fedora contact that can help. @echevemaster I remember I gave you all the wikis of my team.
So the following were mentored by myself "unofficially": https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Solanch69 https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Llucar https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Zodiacfireworks https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Varian https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Jenazads https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Leyla20 https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Ktiarts https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Totountelss https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Aragonc (is in the process)
@davisclick are you currently ambassador or contributor? Hello @echevemaster , I'm ambassador.
Hi Everyone,
My vote is still +/- 0, this is mainly because I don't know who is @zodiacfireworks , @davisclick or @solanch69 , and if i'm search quickly for your fas names i don't get a good reference, in pagure, at least, you can see the next (i use me as reference :P)

I will recommend you talk with the people in #fedora-join become more active in the project (in your special area of interest) and if you need some help talk with me.
Leaving the nest is part of personal growth ;)
@bt0dotninja thanks for your advices, maybe our profile activity is starting, at the beginning all is empty.
Thanks for the welcome.
They should stop to be your guys, they have to be the "Fedora" guys :)

@alexove @lbazan can you start the process with these guys?
Nop I dont have mails .... please give me feedback and I start the process @yulytas
ok @lbazan Thanks so much! :)
Hi @echevemaster! :D
Of course, we are interested in being an active part of the community. Why would we spend all these efforts in organizing events.
What a good thing for @alexove! but in Lima we do not have many references or contact with him or his work as an ambassador. I am willing to start the process to be an ambassador, and thus be able to support @yulytas and the other volunteers in Lima in a more "institutionalized" way to the correct realization of this type of events. So what is the route to follow?
Ok, maybe this is a point, but for that reason it was @yulytas who opened the ticket and gave instructions to send the swag to the address @solanch69, since she could not receive them in Lima. It is just a delivery address, an address with someone responsible for its proper reception.
@bt0dotninja, I think you forgot these pics.

Pagure is not a good reference to show contributions that are not code, otherwise you would be demeaning all the work that @echevemaster or @lbazan have done and are doing for the community.
On the other hand my main interest was to contribute to "fedora scientific" but I never received an answer from that area of the community.
The process is the next one https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Ambassadors_Join_choose_a_mentor
I am willing to start the process to be an ambassador, and thus be able to support @yulytas and the other volunteers in Lima in a more "institutionalized" way to the correct realization of this type of events.
That's the point, we are looking for a teamwork but also based on individual efforts, an only person can't be the reference for an entire city. Maybe you and the others have to start to lead their own events and not only support to @yulytas events.
That´s the reason, every Ambassador is registered, have a cla+1 and belongs to a group, and that´s why we need you into the group. Also, we need you attending the meetings
Hi @zodiacfireworks
@bt0dotninja, I think you forgot these pics. Pagure is not a good reference to show contributions that are not code, otherwise you would be demeaning all the work that @echevemaster or @lbazan have done and are doing for the community.
Well this is a misconception, let me explain, we don't use pagure only for code and more of our administrative activities as ambassadors are done in pagure and over IRC, why? An ambassador open tickets for his/her events and following the rules create and edit wiki pages, when this is done , the ticket is submitted to voting in the meeting (this also means than if you are ambassador or just attendee and you says something your participation is logged). in the case of @echevemaster and @lbazan , they were absent from meetings and tickets for a while (but not from the whole Fedora Project) and we are happy to have them back. Being fair this are a set of more complete statistics, taken from fedmsg showing the activities from 01/01/2018 to today.

as you can see lbazan and echevemaster are very active contributors.
WOW that is very Cool,
Talk with us on #fedora-join maybe we can help you and as advance send a mail with your introduction to scitech@lists.fedoraproject.org
Also I recommend you read this: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_be_a_successful_contributor
Can we maintain this on topic? We need the ticket to be fixed accordingly to be approved and think about a way to get SWAG to the event, being the time so close.
Hi!
@echevemaster @x3mboy @bt0dotninja @itamarjp @yulytas @bex Would it be okay if instead of sending them to @solanch69 send the swag to me?
If so, I leave my information here:
Name: Martin Vuelta DNI: 46579497 Address: Av. Garcilaso de la Vega 1250 Int. 511 Phone Number:+51 982042088 Email address: martin.vuelta@gmail.com
If so, there's no problem! help us make this event happen. Please :)
Wiki page is not in the structure.
Since Latam is the only region using this schema for wiki pages and looks like is a litle big overhead to follow it, why we do not follow ours Reimbursement policy [0] and just put all event pages under the same parent page [1].
If anyone is not ok with this please give to us a {practical, rational, valid, usefull} reason to keep forcing this schema that is other that "this was aproved in the Peru FAD".

Also, many bodies from the entire community liked our idea. It's a ordered way to show everybody our work (also, as LATAM).
Wiki is a disaster, this schema will help everybody to keep organized, and promote wiki organization. For contributors, it's a good way to find reports or procedures. If not, they have to figure out and search inside wiki (the disaster)...

It would really be great to be able to open another ticket but it is not something we can do now, the event is in 2 days. We have already invested money in the Fedora Lima Party event and investing more in producing the swag locally would be economically damaging, at least to me that I am running with the expenses of organization. I also understand that the reimbursement policies take a lot of time.
In addition, as already mentioned, the ticket is based on one already approved. The indicated problems were the link of the event and the shipping address, so this is the link
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_Project_Wiki/FedoraLimaParty2018,
and my contact information for the shipment I noted in a previous comment.
Please close this ticket I create new one @asoliard
