Also, the wiki page needs to be in the proper location https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Events/Latam/Peru

@yulytas in today meeting people is OK with snacks and ballons but we can not aprove t-shirts in latam budget.

I changed the tag from #Discuss to #Meeting 'again'.
I took out the t-shirts, so that means that is approved this ticket?
Could you please take this ticket @williamjmorenor and let us know as soon as possible the status of this ticket? As you can see the event is going to be in two weeks and I sent this proposal almost a month ago.
Thanks,
Julita

hey @yulytas I hope you have more Lucky than me, my ticket was open for almost 6 months (half of a year) https://pagure.io/ambassadors-latam/tasks/issue/438 , I gave up and decided to close it.

your ticket is brand new, it just a month, please talk to the other people, I can't help you with this matter, take care, bye.

fedora cant handle the tickets fast or they dont want to spend their money.

Brazil filled just one ticket and fedora was not able to supply it, If I invite other brazilians to file tickets, it will appear 20-30 of them here easily, we have 26+ states, and they are bigger than some other countries.

For the record in the meeting logs:

Fedora Release Lima Party 2018 (chinosoliard, 14:20:55)
https://pagure.io/ambassadors-latam/tasks/issues?status=Open&tags=Meeting (x3mboy, 14:22:03)
itamarjp chinosoliard wmoreno and bt0 are OK with snacks and ballons in this ticket but Latam do NOT provide t-shirts to contributors. (wmoreno, 14:45:08)
x3mboy is -1 to this ticket (wmoreno, 14:45:22)
https://pagure.io/ambassadors-latam/tasks/issue/456 (chinosoliard, 14:46:22)

So snacks and and ballons where aproved with 4 +1

This kind of attitude is not the best behaviour you can give. Post your comment in the ticket where they belong.

This ticket has been approved in meeting without the t-shirts.

Also, and again, @yulytas my -1 is not about the ticket itself, but for the attitude in the ML:

  1. Putting ticket's comments in threads that are not related (you start a conversation in a meeting reminder)
  2. Undermining comments and taking other people work as yours. I can understand that you are helping these people but you are not a mentor, and there is a process to work in ambassadors, it's well established and documented, so please let these people to follow the real path to became ambassadors if that is what they want. They can be your team, but here they are part of the Fedora Project as individuals.
  3. The continuous: "I've promoted Fedora for years": we all did; "I did it without Fedora money": we all did. Stop putting yourself as a martyr, we all work here because we want to, not because RedHat can fund events. The I-ism is not necessary here, let those folks be. They can contribute and you can help them without taking the work as your.

I really hope that the event goes well and I hope those guys can follow the path as Ambassadors by themselves, following right the steps

Hello @x3mboy , I reviewed the log and this ticket was not approved (the AGREED command was not written). I think it will be approved this friday because the fixes are correct.

I want to know how many attendees is expected in this event because the cost of the pizzas is a bit expensive.

On other hand, I think is necessary focus on the ticket subject.

I don't know how many times Yulita has asked for things that always are ending rejected at the weekly meeting. She always complains about Fedora never give support to her when it isn't like that.

Ask funds for an event has defined guidelines, and if you follow them correctly then you shouldn't have issues or rejections.

Agree with @alexove; the pizza costs are not a bit expensive; they are big expensive.

As the last comment, I'd like to see the people that she leads/help more involved in the community instead of seeing them always behind of her

@echevemaster @bex

Agree with @alexove; the pizza costs are not a bit expensive; they are big expensive.

Julita is asking the same amount of pizzas that other countries asked ( ticket #458 ) for example and we asked the same amount of pizzas to a RP in Brazil (ticket #459) ( was that intentionally ? )

if the pizza are expensive then it should be expensive everywhere not only expensive to requests from "Lima"

@echevemaster

Just as a comment, she has somehow assumed that "function" without consulting with the other local ambassadors, since it always indicates that she is the most active in the community, when the reality is different.

Mils apologize for English, it's not very good, but I wanted to give my opinion

@itamarjp

a pizza costs $ 22 with $ 138 to buy approx. 6 pizzas because it's better not to buy another snack more according ...

I don't think is expensive, as @itamarjp said other tickets with this amount for pizzas have been approved in the past. I have no problems with the amount of money requested

I do not think we need to vote again this ticket, yes we did not use the
command #AGREED but the logs of the meeting were clear that we were fine
with snacks and ballons, but now there is new items in the budget and I am
curious about this item:

Banner of the event USD$40

I will not recomend a banner just for a event, we prefer reusable banners
with a generic artwork than can be reused in many events, so can be nice to
see a preview of the artwork.

in general, we need to get approval from our design team for anything that uses the Fedora logo to ensure we are compliant with our guidelines.

@solanch69 @zodiacfireworks @aragonc
Please add an update of how are things going on in regards with this ticket.
cc @lbazan to support you as your new mentor.
Good luck!

Hi to All

@bex @lbazan @solanch69 @yulytas

I am enclosing the invoices of the expenses made in the event. At the end of the event we have spent only 446.80 PEN which is about 138.00 USD.

The invoices are scanned and listed here (PDF Format)

What are the next steps for reimbursement?

Have a nice day

@zodiacfireworks can you go ahead and register for an account at transferwise.com? This way when the reimbursement is ready to go I can just send it to you that way. It is super easy and you get PEN direct to your bank.

Hello!
