A Fedora tutorial workshop is being planned for an event at Jadavpur University, Kolkata, West Bengal, between November 8-10, 2012.

The various departments at Jadavpur University have been friendly and receptive to the Fedora values and, have previously demonstrated willingness to organize Free Software camps aimed at general and specialized application software/languages (viz. R, Octave, LaTeX etc). It would be good to continue with the tradition of participating in a tutorial workshop especially since the University itself is seeing a spurt in various Technology User Groups (GTUGs for example).

shakthimaan, can you point the event wiki page (yours) and event website (if any)?

Also, you should clarify what you will (and would like to) to at the event and the total requested funds (in USD). And any further information should be fine.

Btw, could you attend APAC meeting this Saturday to have more clarifications about your request to get approved?

The flight ticket prices have sky-rocketed! I have asked the organizers to proceed with their schedule.

We can plan a separate Fedora workshop for them some time in the future.
