Although the place can have 20 persons, we only plan to have 3-person-combo for 4 sets (food for 12 persons) to reduce the expenses.
3-person-combo has 6 pieces of chicken, one small pizza, and one bottle of 1250ml of coke. I think that will be awesome for an outstanding release party! ;)

The limit of budget is $100. You should change something.
May be reduce a train ticket?

I don't know why we are fixing on 100USD for every region?
There are different culture and economy. The cost is kind of high for Taiwan in APAC region.
Frankly, In my country 100 USD is not an ideal amount to make a good release party.

However, if insisted, I will pay the train tickets myself. It is the best way to take High Speed Railway to reduce the time (about 3 hours total) on transferring or it will take too much time by train, about 7 hours total, including go-to and go-back on vehicles.

So the budget will be only for the food, 1836 TWD, around 59.36 USD.

This limit is also used in EMEA for a long time so I don't think it got any issues.
It's that the way we organize the event, I think.

Could you please tell me how you make it?
Then we (more experienced ambassadors inside the region) could advise you to improve the situation.

That's fine. Then I can get it approved now.

However,I have no idea why you have to travel from such faraway location to the other city to organize the event. Why don't you make it in your city?
(this is indeed a question which can help us understand more about situation in your country to help you to improve it)

While the ticket has been approved, I would like to add more information.

After searching on https://goo.gl/maps/3LnqD, it makes more sense for me about two your cities (Chiayi and Taipei). I suggest you should have two release parties in two cities.
If you are not ready at this time, you can make it later. There is more time for this release (more than a month as usual) because of FUDCon Pune. Most of other places in APAC will organize release parties after FUDCon.

The reason we organize the event in Taipei city is that we have more users in Taipei. Major FLOSS events are organized in Taipei City.

We have two active ambassadors in Taiwan. One is freedomknight in Taoyuan which nears Taipei city, the other is me in Chiayi city. I am more familiar with communicating in English, so I do almost the work in Fedora Infrastructure.

Chiayi city is where I live, but it is more of an agricultural city. People here don't know technology much here, no to mention Linux. The amount of possible attendees might be less than ten. So we don't tend to organize a party here. It is OK for me to pay the tickets myself, I am able to pay that. But in the long run, we, the community in Taiwan, have to solve this problem via other ways. Maybe find some local donations to support ambassadors.

Anyway, that is also a problem we have to deal with in our community in Taiwan. It is better to have new ambassadors in Taipei and we may have to find some ways to activate the involvement of the fedora project.

It makes more sense. Thank you for updating the situation in Taiwan.

You do not need to do that yourself. Remember the whole community is always beside to support you.

In this specific case, I personally think it worth to grant a travel subsidy to you.
But I would like to have more rooms for other people to comment.

Anyway, next time, please bring this up asap.

It is also a good choice. Then you can together grow up with the whole community.

It would be fine. It's also a way to grow up the community there.

But the question is: how many ambassadors do you need in your city?
We need more people to contribute more to other sides of the project as well.

I will do my best.

We discussed on this issue with the community in the release party, and we are having some plans to support ambassadors in the future.

I think that it will be better for us to have at least one ambassador in major cities in Taiwan, including Taipei, Taichung, Tainan and Kaoshiung. Anyway, other aspects of the project are also important. I will set "at least one ambassador in major cities" as a long-term-goal. It maybe take us 5 or more years to achieve that.

I'm working on the report of the event. ;)

Sorry for late processing. Next times, try to ping me.

Hi, can i have a quick summary on the amount of reimbursement in USD? ..
