FAS: adimania

Pay Pal address: aditya@adityapatawari.com

== Requirements ==

  • I would be giving a talk at Northeast Linux Fest, Harvard on "Building Orchestration and Configuration with Ansible at Fedora Project" trying to recruit contributors for Fedora Infra.
  • Northeast Linux Fest organizer, Jonathan, wants to organize a mini-FUDCon kind of event 1. I would be happy to help out there as well.

I can arrange for my accommodation but I would need (partial, if not full) travel subsidy. The full cost of travel is around 1000 USD.

  • Event is on 5 April.
  • Having about a month for processing Visa would be great.
  • tuanta to check FY2014 budget to figure out if there is enough money to fund.
  • tuanta to call for vote on trac, if required.

It would be a plus if we could take a call before 25 February.

I am recalculating APAC budget for this unscheduled request as we discussed in the last meeting (http://meetbot.fedoraproject.org/fedora-meeting/2014-02-15/apac.2014-02-15-04.04.html)

Just want to know if you are willing to get support at a half of request amount ($900/2 = $450)? (you need to find other funds or use your own pocket for the other half)

It would be much easier for people to cast their votes.

Rgds,
Tuan

I can manage about $300 - $400 out of my own pocket. Can the partial amount be close to $550 - $600? That'll help a lot.

I have finished recalculating actual budget of Q4-FY2014. We are out of Q4 budget (over the allocation budget).
However, we have got some money left in previous quarters enough to support you partially.

If you are you fine to get $550 support, please confirm then I will try to organize a voting on Trac asap (although voting is usually made in bi-weekly meetings).

$550 should be fine. I am looking forward for the voting.

This has gotten more than 5 +1.

Would this be approved?
In case this is approved, should I upload the invoice after the event or before it?

Yes, this ticket has been approved.

Approve amount: $550.

You will get reimbursement after the event. Please remember to write event reports (number of reports = number of event days - 1), photos and upload your receipts in PDF format.

You should follow this process to get reimbursed: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Ambassadors/APAC/Reimbursement

Blog post can be found at 1. NELF has told me that they'll put up an audio recording soon on their website.

Tickets and boarding passes for reimbursements are attached.

Is there anything that I have missed for processing the reimbursement?

After the event, you must submit your photos and event reports (following these guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Event_reports). Please note in case it is a multiple-day event, you need "N-1" reports.

After all, your ticket will be marked as ready-for-reimbursement and assigned to APAC CC holder.

Please check yourself to see if it meets all needs.

Report is blogged at http://devel.adityapatawari.com/2014/04/northeast-gnulinux-fest-2014/.

NELF recorded the talk and created an ogg out of it which I have uploade at https://archive.org/details/OrchestrationWithAnsibleAtFedoraProject

Yes I think all the requirements are met.
