#252 Election Interview Questions — Council (Jun 2019)
Closed: approved 5 years ago by bcotton. Opened 5 years ago by bcotton.

In order to move forward with the next election, we need to determine which mandatory questions the Council would like to have asked of candidates.

We need the Council to please identify the questions before May 22, 2019 so we can properly communicate them to candidates and so they enough time to answer them.

In case the selection is not complete by May 22, the Election wrangler will use the same set of questions as the last election cycle (see ticket 231).

Some additional questions are listed in the wiki, or you may come up with new ones.

In addition to the written interview questions, @x3mboy would like several questions to ask of candidates for episodes of the Fedora Podcast.

My suggestions:

  • Why are you running for the Fedora Council?
  • Why should people vote for you?
  • What do you want to accomplish as a member of the Fedora Council?

Btw. is the Fedora podcast still a thing? I do not see any new episodes and but I remember me and others giving interviews back at Flock last year but they do not seem to be published.

Yes. I checked with Eduard that he'd be able to do podcast episodes for this cycle. I think the recordings from Flock had some technical problems that made them unusable.

I think till's suggestions are good.

For the podcast, some more personal questions might be nice. How did you get started in fedora, and/or with open source and free software in general? What are your other passions? Etc.

Using the questions proposed by Till as approved in the Council meeting.
