Never fun to add new packages, but I wonder if flatpak-builder would make sense out of the box, making it possible to build new apps for the system. Currently when I run gnome-builder nightly, I get an error that flatpak-builder is not installed, and the Install button in Builder doesn't work. https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=785408
I'm aware of rpm-ostree layering, and I'll probably do that, but I thought flatpak-builder might be a sensible default to add, so it benefits everyone.
I think this would be useful, as well. I just installed a new workstation with Atomic Workstation and had to jump through some hoops to run flatpak-builder from within a container.
flatpak-builder
It's possible using gnome-builder now, without any particular dependencies, and Builder can be installed from Flathub, so I think it's OK to close this issue now.
@andreasn thanks for the update. I'll close it out.
