Currently Tomcat JSS for Tomcat 8.0 only supports blocking Java connector (org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11Protocol). It does not support non-blocking Java NIO connector (org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11NioProtocol).
In Tomcat 8.5 the blocking Java connector is no longer supported, so the code and the configuration need to be modified to use non-blocking Java NIO connector. To simplify the transition to Tomcat 8.5 the support for non-blocking Java NIO connector should be added to Tomcat 8.0 as well.
