Currently rpmdeplint crashes on F29 and newer, see this bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1633667
The problem is fixed in master branch, but no new release has been done since, and the project might have lost all maintainers. We will need to move to F29 minions in Taskotron in a few weeks (F28 EOL) and we either need to resolve this or stop running rpmdeplint.
We have a temporary fix in https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/rpmdeplint/pull-request/1 . It fixes the old 1.4 version to work in F29 and F30 (hopefully correctly). It doesn't make the latest master version of rpmdeplint work.
The temporary fix works, closing this ticket (we will need to find a new maintainer for this tool or get a new tool in the long run, but that's not part of this ticket).
