One thing that we don't have many of is non-trivial tasks which can be run relatively independent from the current state of updates/builds.
To make load/stress testing of Taskotron deployments easier, write a task that rebuilds arbitrary fedora packages.
== Input == package name and version target release (f19, f20 etc.)
== Actions == download srpm for the target package from koji (depends on #210) use mock to build the package for the target release
== Reporting == build success as PASS/FAIL Reasonable excerpt from build logs
As this is not a task which is destined for production, don't worry about getting great output from the build logs. Some details would be helpful but try not to spend too much time on creating the task.
Initial commit is here: https://bitbucket.org/fedoraqa/task-rpmbuild/commits/ab8fd67ad80113e29e75bb019938ad3067476577
Is there any reason we can't close this ticket?
I don't think so. The task is done and pushed. Closing.
