#328 RFE: commands to view and modify the service levels on a branch
Opened 5 years ago by ralph. Modified 5 years ago

An idea from @sgallagh:

It would be nice if fedpkg/rhpkg provided a way for packagers to view and extend the EOL of the service levels on their branches.

In a particular branch, if I could run fedpkg service-level view to print out the currently set date and fedpkg service-level extend, that would be great.

Note that, we only want to let packagers extend the EOL. If they want to reduce the EOL, they'll need a ticket to releng.

Some questions,

  • Is PDC configured with permissions to allow packagers to modify service level via API?
  • If no, who will handle the request to extend service level, infra or releng?
  • Where to create the ticket? Just like package repository request, for which ticket is created in releng/fedora-scm-requests.
  • Since the PDC is being replaced with a new service, what would be the opinion of persons who would handle the requests, e.g. update service level in PDC in current stage before the migration finishes, or just waiting for the new service?
