It took me a while to figure out what is different between this project and https://pagure.io/rpkg . I'm still not sure I fully understand the differences. Would you please update the README to compare this project to the main rpkg project?

Hello, no it doesn't depend on it anymore. It still depends on it in the previous versions that are now in Fedora.
