Closed: Fixed 3 years ago by kevin. Opened 3 years ago by smani.

Ticket for impact check of https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/F34MingwEnvToolchainUpdate

A mass rebuild of mingw-* packages will be required for this change. No special side-tag is required, the regular mass-rebuild it sufficient.

@smani Thanks for filing the ticket, we will include this change as part of the F34 mass rebuild.

@smani F34 mass rebuild is scheduled for this Wed, Jan 20th 2021, mingw packages listed in the change request were not updated to specified versions as of now.

Whats the status on this?

I'm having issues building mingw-gcc, I'm working on it, but tomorrow I'll decide whether to postpone, or just update everything else and leave mingw-gcc at the current version.

I'll go ahead just updating the mingw-w64 packages and defer binutils and gcc to when the respective stable versions are published.

Thanks @smani for the update, so, are you planning on postponing this change to F35 except for the mingw-w64, or are you planning on rebuilding the affected packages depend on gcc and binutils in a side tag after they land in F34 later?

Ideally I'd still fully land this for F34, so a side-tag later on.

Regarding binutils, certainly. Regarding gcc, I'll pursue it in the coming days to see whether a solution for [1] can be found in time.

Mass rebuild is done.
