#9855 [RFE] Pass rawhide modular builds through Bodhi
Closed: Get back later 3 years ago by mohanboddu. Opened 3 years ago by lcts.

  • Describe the issue
Right now module builds for rawhide/F34 modular get sent directly to the repos, while normal builds are sent to Bodhi and auto-promoted to stable. Unless there is a technical reason for that, I think it would be nice to treat modular builds like normal ones.

One, it would make the handling more consistent as all released-to-the-repos builds would show up in the same place, two, it would make it possible to trigger CI tasks for rawhide modular builds.

This requires adding gating to module updates

This requires adding gating to module updates

Configuring greenwave for this should be trivial. We would need to check what needs to be done on the bodhi side, I don't remember if the fedora-messaging consumer that creates the bodhi updates can easily be told to support the modular builds.

Also, we'll likely need to adjust the tag (as in koji tags) order for the modular builds

@amoloney I am adding it to the initiatives list? This might not require lot of resources, but it definitely need some dedicated resources to update bodhi and greenwave.

@lcts This will be tracked by the team and see if we can do it as part of initiative.
