#9542 Modules are still being built for Fedora 30
Closed: Fixed 3 years ago by mohanboddu. Opened 3 years ago by orion.

  • Describe the issue
Modules are still being built for Fedora 30
  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    When possible
  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    Never
  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
Unnecessary koji builder usage building modules for an EOL system that cannot receive updates.

I will check with modularity folks as I am not seeing the platform-f30.yaml config deployed in mbs and dont how modules are still building for f30.

sorry, I can't fix that (adding @breilly instead)

Someone with root permissions need to run mbs-manager retire --confirm platform:f30 on mbs backend or msb frontend to retired platform:f30 so it is not used as a dependency.

Ideally, we should have playbook for that as part of MBS playbooks in ansible repo.

@mohanboddu, can this be added to some checklist when old fedora release is retired?

I've run the command, and yes we should add it to the EOL sop...

I need to update the SOP, but its on my list to do.
