#9533 Impact check for f33 change: Use %make_build and %make_install macros
Closed: Fixed 9 months ago by mohanboddu. Opened a year ago by tstellar.

  • Describe the issue

I'm requesting an impact check for this change proposal: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/UseMakeBuildInstallMacro

I don't anticipate any releng impact with this change.

  • When do you need this? (2020-06-30)

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (2020-06-30)

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?

Change proposal will need to be postponed to f34.

@tstellar

All packages updated by this change request will be rebuilt after the spec file changes are merged.

How are you planning on achieving this? side tag or part of mass rebuild?

@mohanboddu My understanding was that there would be no mass rebuild. If there is, then they will mostly be rebuilt as part of the rebuild. If not, then the packages will be built individually once they are updated. None of the changes impact dependent packages, so we don't need a side-tag.

@tstellar Okay, I will add it to mass rebuild as we are expecting a mass rebuild anyway for F33.

But if you build them individually that is fine too.

@tstellar Just wondering whats the status on this change as the mass rebuild is scheduled for next week.

Thanks.

Closing this ticket as it should be caught as part of mass rebuild.
