When a new branch is requested for a package, there are automated scripts that check if the requester is an admin for the package, and deny the request if that is not the case. However, this does not take into account group membership, as shown by [1][2].
Would it be possible to update the scripts to include group membership check, or at least have a way to flag these issues for human review?

If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact? I can't fix https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1815830, which blocks other bzs too.
