Describe the issue I was trying to request a epel8 branch for cppcheck and it claims the package is an EL package and cannot be in EPEL. Sure enough, it was imported to EL, but was never shipped. Can cppcheck be released back to EPEL and a branch created for 8? TIA...

If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact? People can't use this program for static analysis for C/C++ programs on EL8 or Centos8.
Its part of RHEL-CRB repo, so, we cannot add it to epel. Sorry about that.
