#9076 Failing to build python packages in epel7 on ARM
Closed: Fixed 4 years ago by mohanboddu. Opened 4 years ago by pingou.

  • Describe the issue
When building python packages on EPEL7 I've ran 4 times now into this error:
 Problem: conflicting requests
  - nothing provides python-rpm-macros needed by epel-rpm-macros-7-23.noarch
  - nothing provides python-srpm-macros needed by epel-rpm-macros-7-23.noarch
  - nothing provides python2-rpm-macros needed by epel-rpm-macros-7-23.noarch

Tasks:
- https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=39422065
- https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=39422070
- https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=39422080
- https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=39422082 worked :fireworks:

I've been able to track this to ARM builders, so I end up resubmitting the task until it picks up another builder and then it passes.

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)
a workaround is known but it is annoying

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    N/A

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
I keep on resubmitting tasks until one passes

First encounter: December 2nd 2019
