#8705 Let's unfreeze and freeze again at the original documented date (2019-08-29)
Closed: Can't Fix 4 years ago by mohanboddu. Opened 4 years ago by churchyard.

In the schedule posted at https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/31/Schedule a date of the Beta freeze was moved 2 days back day before it was happening. Multiple people are confused. Can we please unfreeze now and start freezing tomorrow instead?

I understand the problem, but that also means giving less time for QA to test things which I am trying to avoid.

Doesn't matter to me either way. As I said in fedora-project-schedule#135, I don't have any control over the implementation of the freeze, so a two-day change in one schedule milestone isn't a concern from my end. If the benefit to the community outweighs the cost of lifting the freeze, then let's do it. If not, then I have a better argument for telling Matthew I won't make the wiki page any more :-)

I don't think it would be easy or practical. See my suggestion on fesco ticket.

I thought pushing the updates to stable is the only thing this ticket wanted, but changing all the bodhi configs and koji tags and targets, then I am against it.

Anyway, we cannot do that anymore.
