#8538 update branches on src.stg
Closed: Fixed 4 years ago by ryanlerch. Opened 4 years ago by ryanlerch.

  • Describe the issue
Just wondering if it is possible to update the branches on the src.stg instance to make the branches match more closely to current reality? At the moment, there is a f29 branch on src.stg, but no f30 branches.

This will help make the entire stg pipeline of koji, src, and bodhi more useful when testing pushing packages through the stg pipeline for development testing.

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?

This is kinda hard to do since it means, pull all or part of the git repo from prod into the staging host.
Staging is also running repoSpanner which prod isn't so it won't be as easy as doing a rsync or so :(

Maybe it's possible to create the branches (like they were created on prod when we branched F30 off).

Ones they exist in PDC anyone will be able to create them. So discussing with @ryanlerch on IRC, fixing #8537 may also fix this one :)

yeah, fixing #8537 has made this moot. i can juist create the f30 branch in my packages now on stg. cheers!
