XIM is not working with the current imsettings/libgxim packages in rawhide, so could you please tag the following builds by tagoh for f10-beta:

libgxim-0.2.0-1.fc10
imsettings-0.104.0-1.fc10
im-chooser-1.2.3-1.fc10

They fix the following bugs:

Bug 457635 - gtk will not pick up right im module in kde desktop session
Bug 457901 - Problems entering 8-bit characters in various programs
Bug 460695 - malformed desktop file

and should help with

Bug 460703 - multiple status icons for Input Method displayed

I and some others have tested them and they seem to work well enough and fix XIM input.
