#7435 [lastpass-cli] Request for Ownership of an Orphaned Package
Closed: Fixed 6 years ago Opened 6 years ago by ventz.

The LastPass CLI package is badly outdated, with 2 major bugs.

It seems the EPEL package was abandoned ~2016
I have emailed the maintainer (Tom Prince) directly just to confirm, and have not hard back.

I've also opened a bug here with the details:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1564211

I've been working with developers at LogMeIn (owner of LastPass) to discover and fix these bugs. They have already been fixed in the source. The developers have no interest in maintaining an EPEL package -- I would like to take over the package, along side with Steve Huff.

This is my official request as per:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Orphaned_package_that_need_new_maintainers?rd=PackageMaintainers/OrphanedPackages

Thanks,
-Ventz

@ventz You need to follow unresponsive maintainers doc as the package is not orphaned

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Policy_for_nonresponsive_package_maintainers

Once you get the FESCo approval, please file a ticket here and we can give the package to you.

@mohanboddu - Thanks. Will do - just created a fesco ticket.

I'll reply here (open a new ticket) when I hear back from them.

@ventz Please open a new ticktet with ref to this ticket and to the FESCo ticket once it gets approved, closing this ticket for now.
