Please review Fedora Change Request...
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/389-ds-base-remove-686
The core of the issue is with the 389-ds-base package, but this change also impacts FreeIPA and slapi-nis
@mreynolds Is it a F28 change? We already past changes deadline for F28.
Unfortunately this affects F28. If we have to build it on F28 (i686) then we are providing a broken package that should NOT be used. We found out really late into the schedule that this needed approval (apologies for our ignorance).
So if we have to build/ship it on F28/i686, then we are shipping a faulty package. in that case is there some way to flag it as unstable, or use at your own risk, or some kind of blaring warning? (besides doing our own community mailing list announcements)
There is no releng work to be done for this change. There's no real way to mark a package as unsupported, but since there's a change request, it'll end up in the Fedora 28 release notes.
